about
The mission of Empowered Professional Development is to empower people by providing career development resources and strategies which enable them to confidently pursue their professional  goals.  I have revised hundreds of resumes and have worked closely with human resources professionals and hiring managers, so I know exactly what they are looking for in a prospective employee.  Most importantly, professional development is my passion.  What began as a hobby, helping friends and family with resumes and career advice, has become my business.

I am currently finishing my Masters in Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I previously received my bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems.  After working several years in Information Technology, I followed my passion for professional development and changed careers.  I have worked with individuals in a wide array of careers and industries, providing leadership training, professional coaching, career advising and resume development.

My community and professional involvement includes mentoring through Sacred Heart Middle School and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands.  I have served as president of the INROADS Alumni Association and have participated in Toastmasters International.   I graduated from United Way of the Midlands Heartland Blueprint program which helps individuals prepare to effectively serve on nonprofit boards.  In 2008, the University of Nebraska at Omaha honored me with one of six Women of Color awards.
